Dear Family and Friends,
As Shinelia and I sat poolside celebrating our 15 year marriage Anniversary we reflected on the journey of the last seven years in particular! During the last seven years, we've experienced a wide spectrum of emotions from pain, joy, victories and defeat. But the last four years in particular have afforded us the opportunity to be in the company of various key individuals in high profile positions. In most cases, we were introduced in these settings for one reason but ended up offering solutions and counseling in all of them. From enduring homelessness and being on the verge of divorce to being celebrated as the owners of two top producing businesses made it possible for us to be seated at the table of presidents, executives and pastors. For many, the testimony of our lives has become like music. Music comes from the word muse, which means to “think.” All of our experiences over the last 15 years, has caused a shift in our thinking; our beliefs have changed, our actions are different, now the messgage in our song has a meaning of encouragement to others.
Through our connection, it is safe to say that our song has made a lasting impression on over 60 businesses, 25 ministries and churches and has possibly touched 500 people personally and possibly thousands from afar. The life-changing impact of our song was because of people like you, encouraging us along the way, helping us think differently. The Kingdom of God has been expanded, real people have heard and experienced God’s love and there are significant opportunities ahead – opportunities to reach even more and make a greater impact.
Currently, all across this country men/women are frustrated in their jobs, families, ministries and even more with their finances because of undeveloped gifts and/or under-developed talents, leading to feeling undervalued, unappreciated and low self - esteem. Many of which desire to contribute more to their families, businesses or communities but honestly don't know how due to limited opportunities that are available.

"The M.U.S.I.C. concept is like the model of a symphony."
One such opportunity that provides hope is M.U.S.I.C. ( Many Uniquely Serving In Concert), which began this year. M.U.S.I.C. started organically by creating an environment for personal and leadership development while at the same time exploring opportunities for men/women to connect with others as they share their gifts and talents. The M.U.S.I.C. concept is like the model of a symphony. In symphony, there are various instruments, with different sounds, timbres, at different sizes and shapes. All the different qualities have made the “agreement” to harmonize, come in sync with each other to make ONE song.
With the help of a few dedicated volunteers, some AMAZING close friends and the years of experience from our Executive Director, Jason Lutes, this year alone, M.U.S.I.C. in its infancy and Beta stage provided counseling and mentoring to over a dozen families, providing spiritual leadership, offering practical life skills and opportunities for personal development. With our current Board of Directors in place, this year our goal is to work closely with our current M.U.S.I.C. Life leaders already in place in three cities Atlanta (GA), Sterling (VA) and Phoenix (AZ) to provide one-on-one mentoring, leadership development and service opportunities. M.U.S.I.C. has set its goals with our non-profit partnerships to provide medical care in Nicaragua to 100 children and families (Porellos) and serve 100,000 meals in Kenya (Serv International). We now become living music. Our actions, ministry and support become notes leaving an impression on others causing them to “think” differently about God, their families, and hopefully a changed thinking about themselves.
As we prepare for this ambitious endeavor, we also need to raise finances to support our M.U.S.I.C. events, M.U.S.I.C. Life (in-depth, biblical studies program) along with miscellaneous items and resources necessary to serve the communities. We will be launching an official fund-raising campaign with the next two months but wanted to present this opportunity to our closest family and friends first. Please consider joining us as a lead contributor with a gift of $1,000, $500 or $250. Any size gift is appreciated, and we know we are chasing a God-sized goal that will require His provision.
Together, we can reach our community, change our families and inspire others to grow spiritually, emotionally and professionally.
